Warner Bros Has Canceled Batman: Arkham Origins DLC On Wii U

Even though I was smart enough to see this type of bullshit coming a mile away and I didn’t get the game even though I am a BIG Batman fan I feel sorry for those who did get this on Wii U. Its another example of crap 3rd party devs who treat the Wii U worst of the 8th gen systems. All I have to say is Rocksteady will always be better then Warner Bros. They wouldn’t abandon the Wii U.

A Warner Bros spokesperson has confirmed that it has canceled Batman: Arkham Origins downloadable content on the Wii U. This suggests that the game has fallen short of estimates on the struggling console. This means that the upcoming all-new story campaign won’t be coming to the system. Those customers who purchased the season pass in the US via the eShop will have their money refunded.

“Based on demand for DLC content on the system, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has made the decision to remove its offering of the upcoming all-new story campaign for Wii U.”

– A Warner Bros spokesperson

“Thanks so much for your support of Batman: Arkham Origins on Wii U. We are contacting you today because you purchased the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass for Wii U. We hope you’ve been enjoying the content that has been delivered thus far.

“Based on demand for Downloadable Content on the system, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has made the decision to remove its offering of the upcoming new story campaign for Wii U. As a result, we will be crediting the entire $19.99+tax cost of the Season Pass back to your Nintendo eShop account. You will still be able to enjoy the content already released thus far.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your support of the game.”
