Sakurai has given us another sneak peek into the 3DS and Wii U game showing off legendary Pokémon Palkia. Smash Bros. fans may remember the Pearl mascot from Brawl in the Spear Pillar stage of the game, but this time the pokemon is not just a stage hazard.
In the Wii U screenshot, Palkia’s emerging straight from a Pokéball and wastes no time getting down to business, unleashing its signature move. Here’s what Sakurai had to say on Miiverse:
“Pic of the day. Palkia appeared in the Spear Pillar stage of the previous game…but now it’s coming out of a Poké Ball?! Here’s Palkia’s signature move, Spacial Rend!”

Its not a shiny, but that would be cool actually…if there was a CHANCE that a Pokémon released from its Pokeball COULD be a shiny lol. It would be a small detail that would add a lot.
